i know many here do not believe in anything biblical but i’m curious as to whether you believe anyone is in heaven?

I believe there is too much going for the spirit realm to discount it. I don't believe in any iteration of a physical Paradise. If there's to be an afterlife, it's not related to our dimension.

Eye-brow Wigs ... are a thing?

also, they can come off or slip down while you are doing a press-conference to a global audience.

From the above linked article:
we have no way of knowing the biases of the fact checkers at Snopes – we simply have to trust
Disagree. Bias in this case is mostly irrelevant, and likewise trust has little to do with it. Have there been times when I disagreed with their stamp of "True", "False", etc? Absolutely. But that's not really important, as the articles virtually always give the references necessary to reach your own conclusion. I lean towards conservative, but even when they insert subtle digs or irrelevant information I, really anyone with a brain can look past that. And BTW they have defended and debunked many anti conservative rumors as well.
Snopes fact checks typically do not mention contacting the authors of the articles about those events to see if those reporters claim to have additional corroborating material
Flat out false. That's pretty standard practice that I've seen in multiple articles.

Cognitive Dissonance meme
by neat blue dog ini find this kind of amusing:.
a jw social media account recently posted a meme about cognitive dissonance seen here.. .
and then all the jws in the comment section predictably apply it to those in christendom..

It applies to everything that it applies to.
Obviously, but this is the pot calling the kettle black.
BTW, that's not a meme.
A meme is anything, usually media of some type, that is passed around in pop culture. Only in recent years has it come to be viewed as a screen shot of a movie, etc. accompanied by an out of context but relatable quip, often using the "Genuine" font. But the definition is larger than that.

Suggestions for horror/supernatural movies
by Addison0998 inhey guys, so now that i’m pretty much atheist and i’m not scared of demons or supernatural things, or bring them into my house by watching movies or reading books about them lol, i defenitly want to watch a few scary movies.
i’ve always loved scary movies, but as witness, you don’t get to watch many since they need to be pg-13 and have no spiritism in it lol.
does anyone have any suggestions?

The 2004 District Convention drama "They Bore Thorough Witness to the Good News" has a scene of a demon exorcisom by Paul. They never released an English video version, but you can download it from JWdotORG in a ton of sign languages. See possessed Mexican sisters convulsing, possessed Japanese sisters, Italian, Canadian . . . The list goes on. The convention audio drama version was never released to the public after the convention, but you can find it online, and they used a creepy overdub for the girl to make it sound like multiple voices are coming out.

Randy Wall case linked to on JWdotORG
by neat blue dog inunder "breaking news" on jwdotorg, there is a link to a court case in canada that was just resolved on may 31st.. https://scc-csc.lexum.com/scc-csc/scc-csc/en/item/17101/index.do.
it's in regard to him being disfellowshipped, and the court says they can't get involved.
jwdotorg gives this statement about their victory:.

StephaneLaliberte:
Excellent point, THAT should be the focus: Being disfellowshipped for not following disfellowshipping. Also it's worth noting that the court said that it wasn't the JWs intent to cause emotional distress. However that can be contradicted by quotes from publications saying that the loneliness DF'd one feel may prompt them to return.

you HAVE THE BALLS TO QUESTION someome who has researched the wt for over 35 years
JunkYardDog: What's wrong with questioning? It's nothing personal, it's called DISCUSSION. That's what makes life apart from JWs great, it's OKAY to question things. We shouldn't have to worry about open friendly debate and being censored, which the WTS doesn't allow. Also, it's just wrong to imply that you know more than everyone about the WTS just because of an alleged amount of years you've been researching it. Some may know more about a certain topic than others, but it's NOT A COMPETITION. We come here to get things off our chest, share valuable information and get mutual support that many of us can't get IRL. That's the very basis of a FORUM, so why did you join if you can't handle differences of opinion? Just a little friendly advice, this will help you in all areas of life.
